The crisis I need help/I'm desperate/losing my quit thread

Postby Jase » Tue Mar 09, 2010 5:19 pm

June,
One thing i've done with everything on this quit is to not attribute everything that went on to my quitting smoking.

This headache you've got is likely just a symptom you'd have anyway, and so treat as just that... a symptom.

What you have is a headache, and no amount of smoking would change a headache.. the last thing you'd want is to further starve the brain of oxygen, and poison the body with what cigarettes contain anyway.

Right now i would guess that some of the cravings you are a getting are causing a few imbalances and these are manifesting likely as what i call 'tension/pressure' headaches.. and they aint nice, i know.

The good news is that the headaches if you are prone to them do get less frequent the longer you are quit, but right now just treat the symptom of the headache itself as its making you feel uneasy. Drink plenty of cold water and take a few decent painkillers that you usually take and get some fresh air too. I massage the top of my eye sockets (under the eye brow and above the eye) when i get bad headaches as its relaxing and tends to stem the headaches severity too.

Main thing is.. don't panic.. but in the meantime, check out my signature for some handy reading, regards cravings etc as there may well be some tips in there that will help with your moments of crave.

good luck, i'll check by here later when i get home from work.

Hi June

June i'm so sorry you have such a bad head hun and then in kicks the just one and you'll feel better thing :Stop: right there :Ok:

June think about it hun you have a bad head and you never smoked when you had a headache before

This is the Demons as they can't get you any other way they're trying this way it's that simple they have jumped in when they feel you may be a bit weak they'd do the same thing no matter what was wrong right now promise they see it as a way to regain control of you which they are fast loosing :Ok:

Take some pain killers with plenty of water and if you can go and lie down for a while give them time to work on that headache, the crave will go hun as the pain lessens the demons will lose the grip on your mind that they are trying desperately to manipulate :esad:

Come on hun take some pain killers just as you normally would for a headache you know full well a fag won't take the pain away they can't do that but they can and will make it a whole lot worse for you

Come on hun chin up and listen to Aunty Marg not them bloody demons they lie to you and I don't :Ok:

Love and a Huge Hug
